Viscose is a semi-synthetic fabric derived from cellulose. Cellulose is produced by processing wood pulp from fast growing trees such as bamboo or pine. It was originally developed in France as a silk alternative and has now become a very popular, versatile fabric which has a great drape and is soft and breathable. Viscose lends itself to being blended with other fibres such as elastane, polyester or linen, further improving its versatility. At White Lodge Fabric we have great a range of plain and printed viscose fabrics.
